Telehealth Sessions
Telehealth provides a comfortable, convenient approach to therapy. In addition to all its advantages, there are some potential risks to telehealth.
While I contract with an electronic health records service that provides a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform for the provision of telehealth sessions, it is important to be aware of potential risks and limitations to receiving treatment via telehealth.
Potential risks and limitations of telehealth may include but are not limited to, issues of confidentiality, clinical limitations, transmission difficulties, and the ability to respond to emergencies. Additional information is outlined in my Practice Policies & Treatment Consent Form.
I will answer any questions or concerns you may have about the use of telehealth in advance and I must obtain your consent to participate in telehealth sessions. You will be asked to provide written consent for the use of telehealth as an acceptable mode of receiving my psychotherapy services.
